To celebrate, A Love Letter to Water Approved Textiles is hosting events throughout March. Please use the following buttons to RSVP to as few or as many events as you would prefer to attend
Gallery Opening RSVP Preferred (Friday, March 7, 6-8 PM)
For First Friday, we will convert Approved Textiles (710 S. 4th Street) into a gallery-style space so you can experience every piece Camilla Mustard created for this historic residency. As all 3-yard swaths are available for purchase, this is the only time we can guarantee that you will be able to see all thirteen pieces of her collection. (All fabrics from A Love Letter to Water will be available for pick up or shipping on Tuesday, March 11.)
Artist Talk RSVP Required (Saturday, March 22, 4:30 - 5:30 PM)
On Saturday early evening, join co-founder Matthew Addonizio in conversation with Camilla Mustard as they discuss the ins and outs of A Love Letter to Water. For people who have been in Approved Textiles, you know our space can only hold so many people comfortably. If we get a lot of RSVPs, we will move this talk to an alternate location on Fabric Row. We'll need your contact information so you know where to go.
Painting Workshop (3/22 6-8 PM, in 30-minute increments)
After the Artist Talk, return to the store (710 S. 4th Street) and collaborate with Camilla Mustard. She will demonstrate her painting technique on your one-of-a-kind bandanna or shawl, which you will leave with. In line with the slow fashion ethos, we are limiting this event to 16 slots so we can be mindful and intentional in this workshop. Camilla is not only a "machine," and you are not merely a "consumer;" we're doing this together.
Time slots for this workshop may be reserved here.
Closing Party (Sunday, March 30; 4-6 PM) RSVP
While A Love Letter to Water is a set residency for March, its ethos and praxis (ideas and practices) must continue. Join us at Approved Textiles (710 S. 4th) for the closing party as we celebrate the beauty Camilla Mustard brought -- and brings!--into this world as we collaborate, conspire, and build towards a future that honors our love of textiles in sustainable, ethical, and tangible ways.
