February 22 - (SOLD OUT) Introduction to Bojagi Morning Class
February 22 - (SOLD OUT) Introduction to Bojagi Morning Class
Join us at the shop to learn the art of hand stitched Korean Bojagi (also known as Pojagi and Jogakbo)! Bojagi is a patchwork technique of stitching flat felled seams to create a durable and versatile fabric that can be used as a curtain, gift wrapping, a table covering, or a variety of other applications.
In this class, we'll practice the assembly and stitching technique to create the traditional whip stitched, layered seams. After we master the stitch, we'll plan out your finished project and create a composition of scrap fabrics to bring it to life.
You are welcome to bring any woven scrap fabrics in your collection to incorporate into your design. (note, knit jersey and stretch fabrics do not work for this technique)
The cost of the class includes..
- needle, thread, and practice fabric
- a variety of handloom fabric pieces to create your final project
- individualized guided instruction, and a fun morning of coffee and snacks.
Our shop is tiny, so capacity is limited to 4 people.
