Hemisphere

The hemispheres of the globe 

Are so often invoked 

To describe separate experiences

This sphere has been rotated, 

With one hemisphere made of earth

One hemisphere made of plants. 

We are connected. 

Our distant lives are interwoven.

Our impacts are seen and unseen.  

Materials: stoneware clay bowl, made at The Clay Studio (@theclaystudiophl); cotton canvas strips, from a canvas tote bag (from Approved Textiles); crocosmia foliage gifted from a neighbor’s garden.  Form inspired by a traditional Korean Moon Jar. 6.5” tall. 7.5” diameter at widest point. 5” opening at the top.
